THE VALE
THE VALE is a small fictitious country terminus that was shared by the Southern and
Great Western, set in the late 60’s and early 70’s.
The Vale utilises OO-Gauge track, and is DCC controlled from an NCE Powercab. The
layout lives in the East Midlands and travels well.
The Vale only requires a single power socket, and supplies its own stock table. The
layout size is 8’ x 16” (2.4m x 0.4m), and with it’s stock table and room to move
around it occupies a footprint of 10’ x 5’ (3m x 1.5m). The layout does not have
its own lighting.
The layout is operated by two people, and only requires one car, but overnight accommodation
if the exhibition is over 50 miles from Bingham (Notts), please.
